Participants regulations

  1. The competition is open to soloists playing any acoustic instrument. This year, without organ. .
  2. The competition is open to students of primary and secondary schools and graduates of music schools (academies), professional musicians and music learners in other cultural and educational institutions, or individual learners.
  3. Citizens of different countries can participate.
  4. Previous years MKIM laureates can participate in the same or higher category.
  5. Auditions will be held in three age categories:
    • category I - first grade school students
    • category II - second grade school students and graduates of first grade schools
    • category III - students and graduates of Music Academies and second grade school graduates, professional musicians - regardless of age.
  6. . If a participant of category I or II began playing the instrument at a later age (eg. Youth department) - the entry form must be accompanied by a photocopy of the last certificate (first page without marks) or a certificate from the director of the school. If the participant learns individually and has no certificate - assignment to the appropriate category is made by the jury and the organizer on the basis of the information provided
  7. Repertoire:
    • any two compositions.
    • One composition is performed in each stage.
    • Several short compositions are allowed within the time limit. In this case, for any reason, the time limit can not be exceeded.
    • A composition is meant one part of cyclical composition. W każdym etapie należy wykonać inny utwór lub inną jego część (nie dotyczy III etapu,w którym można wykonać utwór z I lub II etapu lub inny nie wpisany w programie). --> In each stage another composition or its another part should be performed (not applicable to the third stage, where one can perform composition from I or II stage or any other not included in the program ).

  8. The duration of each composition should not exceed:
    • category I - 4 minutes
    • kategoria II - 6 minut
    • category III - 8 minutes
  9. Exceptionally, it is allowed to exceed the time limit if the participant performs e.g. a part of the concert. In this case, the duration should be written in parentheses after the name of the composition on the application form. This will allow for proper organization of auditions.
  10. The participant can perform the whole cyclical composition if it fits the time limit, but there is no such obligation.
  11. There is no obligation to fill the time limit.
  12. The minimum duration of the composition is unrestricted and is not taken into account in the assessment.
  13. The jury can interrupt the performance after the end of regular time.
  14. Each participant can perform a solo composition or with accompaniment of any instrument, band, audio recording or video.
  15. In the first stage, auditions of each category will be held in two groups with various committees:
    • Group I - soloists without accompaniment or with accompaniment but without piano (Castle in Krasiczyn). The organizers reserve the right to allocate to this group soloists with piano accompaniment.
    • Group II - soloists with piano accompaniment and pianists. (Casimir Castle in Przemysl)
  16. For soloists performing one composition with the accompaniment and the second without accompaniment - the composition without accompaniment should be performed in the first stage.
  17. From each group to the second stage by decision of the jury will be proportionally qualified the same number of participants.
  18. 10 participants in each category will be qualified for the second stage. Jury may increase or decrease the limit.
  19. Auditions of the second stage of all categories will be held in the Castle Casimir in Przemysl
  20. For the third stage (final concert) 5 participants from each category will be qualified. The jury has the right to increase or decrease the limit.
  21. Participant in the third stage can perform a composition from first or second stage or any not listed in the application form.
  22. After the announcement of the results of the second stage, each participant reports organizers repertoire that will be performed in the third stage.
  23. In the third stage, the jury will evaluate performances by different rules than in the first and second stage (see the rules of assessment).
  24. The official announcement of the results will take place after the final concert
  25. Winners of the first place in each category receive titles:
    • Category I - "LITTLE MASTER OF MUSIC INTERPRETATION 2020"
    • Category II - "YOUNG MASTER OF MUSIC INTERPRETATION 2020"
    • Category III - "MASTER OF MUSIC INTERPRETATION 2020"
  26. In justified cases, the jury may refrain from awarding the title.
  27. After the announcement of the results, champions of each category will perform.
  28. Auditions and performances of the participants are recorded with video camera.
  29. Video recordings of the best performers are published on the competition website and serve the promotion of performing musicians.
  30. The organizers reserve the right to free use of sound recordings, video and photos made during the contest.
  31. During the competition - audio and video recordings, and shooting can be made only with the consent of competition organizers.
  32. Participants (soloists) pay the entry fee of 60 zł to 06.March.2020 into the following account:

    with a note: "Konkurs Interpretacji Muzycznej" and the names of participants and e-mail or phone number of the person organizing the trip.

  33. In case of participant's resignation the payment will not be refunded.
  34. In case of lack of payment of the entry fee the participant will not be enrolled (the entry form must be accompanied by a photocopy of the receipt). .
  35. Each performer has the right that his teacher (or other competent person selected) could participate in the jury (see Rules of the jury). Therefore, each institution sending application, notify the teacher-candidate to the jury (there may be more than one person, does not have to be a performing student's teacher, for example, can be an accompanist or other teacher representing the participant).
  36. Performing graduates of Music Academies and professional musicians can submit their candidacy to the jury of another category.
  37. Participation in the jury is confirmed by the corresponding diploma signed by the chairman of the jury.
  38. People who send application individually - can submit to the jury an accompanist or other person with appropriate education. .
  39. Applications of soloists and candidates for the jury are to be sent to 06.March.2020 by ELECTRONIC ENTRY FORM.

  40. Participants are requested to include:
    • A copy of proof of payment
    • Any of their photograph
    • Photograph of the candidates for the jury would be appreciated.
  41. Attachments should be sent to: biuro@mkimuz.com or andwaw1@wp.pl .
  42. Participants pay the costs of accommodation, food and commuting on their own. Please book accommodation and meals on your own.
  43. XIV International Interpretation of Music Competition will be held on 02-04 April 2020.
  44. All participants receive relevant diplomas:
    • participation (Stage I)
    • distinction for participation in the semi-final (second stage) for qualification and participation in the semi-final (second stage)
    • finalists (third stage) receive appropriate certificates in accordance with the decision of the jury
  45. Submitting the application form is tantamount to agreeing to all points of terms and conditions and on the processing of personal data for the competition.
