Music bands regulations

  1. The competition is open to soloists and bands playing any acoustic instrument.
  2. Composition of the band is any - but without piano.
  3. The size of the band - from 2 to 8 people. .
  4. The band members can be students of primary, secondary schools and graduates of music schools (academies), professional musicians and music learners in other cultural and educational institutions, or individual learners.
  5. Citizens of different countries can participate.
  6. Previous years MKIM laureates can participate in the same or higher category.
  7. Bands will be divided in 3 age groups:
    • IVa category - students of I stage schools - classes 1-6 children section or 1-4 youth section.
    • IVb category - students of II stage schools ( also graduates of I stage schools to the age of 20 - counts the calendar year)
    • IVc category - students, graduates of music academies, graduates of II stage schools, professional musicians - without any age limit.
  8. If a participant of category I or II began playing the instrument at a later age (eg. Youth department) - the entry form must be accompanied by a photocopy of the last certificate (first page without marks) or a certificate from the director of the school. If the participant learns individually and has no certificate - assignment to the appropriate category is made by the jury and the organizer on the basis of the information provided.
  9. Repertoire: whichever but restricted to time limit.
  10. A composition is meant one part of cyclical composition.
  11. Duration of the performance of each band - to 12 minutes at each stage.
  12. There is no obligation to fill the time limit.
  13. The minimum duration of the composition is unrestricted and is not taken into account in the assessment. The band can perform in each stage any short piece, depending on the age and abilities of the participants.
  14. Exceptionally, it is allowed to exceed the time limit if the band performs e.g. a part of the concert. In this case, the duration should be written in parentheses after the name of the composition on the application form. This will allow for proper organization of auditions.
  15. At each stage different compositions should be performed ( not applicable to the III stage, when you can perform a composition from stage I or II, or any other not listed in the program).
  16. The jury can interrupt the performance after the end of regular time.
  17. Auditions of bands will be held in magnificent, antique castle in Krasiczyn. Auditions of III stage of all categories will be held in the Castle Casimir in Przemysl.
  18. Bands will perform without a division into age groups. The artistry of performance will be taken into account and not the level of difficulty. The assessment will be done by the same jury. Results will be awarded in each age group based on the score obtained.
  19. >From each group to the second stage will be qualified 5 bands. Jury may increase or decrease the limit.
  20. To the third stage (final concert) will be qualified 5 bands with the highest scores regardless of the age group. Jury may increase or decrease the limit.
  21. After the announcement of the results of the second stage, each participant reports organizers repertoire that will be performed in the third stage.
  22. Participant in the third stage can perform a composition from first or second stage or any not listed in the application form.
  23. ). In the third stage, the jury will evaluate performances by different rules than in the first and second stage (see the rules of assessment).
  24. The official announcement of the results will take place after the final concert
  25. Final results will be determined on the basis of the total points scored in all stages.
  26. Winner of the first place participating in the third stage will receive the title: "MASTER OF MUSIC INTERPRETATION 2017"
  27. In justified cases, the jury may refrain from awarding the title.
  28. Auditions and performances of the participants are recorded with video camera.
  29. Video recordings of the best performers are published on the competition website and serve the promotion of performing musicians.
  30. The organizers reserve the right to free use of sound recordings, video and photos made during the contest.
  31. During the competition - audio and video recordings, and shooting can be made only with the consent of competition organizers.
  32. Each band pays the entry fee of 70 zł to 06.March.2019 into the following account:

    and the names of participants and e-mail or phone number of the person organizing the trip.

  33. In case of participant's resignation the payment will not be refunded.
  34. In case of lack of payment of the entry fee the participant will not be enrolled (the entry form must be accompanied by a photocopy of the receipt or sent by email).
  35. Each performer has the right that his teacher (or other competent person selected) could participate in the jury (see Rules of the jury). Therefore, each institution sending application, notify the teacher-candidate to the jury (there may be more than one person, does not have to be a performing student's teacher, for example, can be an accompanist or other teacher representing the participant).
  36. Performing graduates of Music Academies and professional musicians can submit their candidacy to the jury of another category.

  38. People who send application individually - can submit to the jury an accompanist or other person with appropriate education.

  40. Participants are requested to include:
    • A copy of proof of payment
    • Any of their or the band photograph.
    • Photograph of the candidates for the jury would be appreciated.
  41. Attachments should be sent to: biuro@okim.az.pl lub andwaw1@wp.pl .
  42. Participants pay the costs of accommodation, food and commuting on their own.
    Please book accommodation and meals on your own.
  43. XIII International Interpretation of Music Competition will be held on 04-06.April.2019.
  44. All participants receive relevant diplomas:
    • participation (Stage I)
    • distinction for participation in the semi-final (second stage) for qualification and participation in the semi-final (second stage)
    • finalists (third stage) receive appropriate certificates in accordance with the decision of the jury
  45. Submitting the application form is tantamount to agreeing to all points of terms and conditions and on the processing of personal data for the competition.
